Trust no-one but your own measuring where your face and eyesight is concerned, then check and check again. Start lowish, work up, use established data always untill your confident .
I went all the way up to 2960fps. I think the rifle just doesn't like the 120gr.

2213sc is a brilliant powder. Ran it in a sako 75 with 75gr pills. Wonderfully accurate. Dynamite in the 270.

Perhaps not, but it would be the first one I've come across, 1-8 twist ? shouldn't matter with the 120gr.
    Look at seating depth
    And then.......................don't waste another hundreds.
    Send them to me.

I use 2209 with the 129 soft points, not SSTs. About 47 grains in Lapua brass. Shoots very well and the projectiles penetrate well on big fallow. Have not recovered one as yet.

Yes 1-8 twist. And I did play with seating depth.
Perhaps I should have qualified the hundreds of rounds statement better. Part of it was checking and changing processes, other parts diagnosing rifle problems, then throw in a bit of tail chasing, and some what if’s. There were definitely some more what if’s at higher velocities but at some point I had to say enough.

Did you say what the rifle is?
