    6.5x55 Tikka , 2209

Does anybody think 46.5gns of adi 2209 is to high, for a new tikka, using 140sst's seated well off the lands.

I see its 44 but I remember reading about how 6.5x55 loads are weaker because of all the old guns. Yours would be new so it could be possible. maybe ask ADI themselves or someone experienced here will know.

It won't cause any damage. Why aren't you using N560 JW?

Yeah Toby I'm aware of Book max, it's not my rifle, just sorting a load, have gone to 47 in my sako without pressure signs but ....

I've loaded a few across from 44-46.5, just wondered what ther panel thought about the higher load,

Guy asked for help with a load Tahr, bought lapua brass, 2209, primers etc around. He's a long time hunter but never loaded.
he's not dialing , he's hunting deer and wants better/flatter than factory.
First Laminate t3 Tikka I've had a play with, handsome rifle.

Thats cool. Truth be known, probably no real life advantage in wringing the last 10% of performance out of them anyway. I'm probably just a performance snob.

Cheers, didn't think it would be too much for it, hoping something around the 46gr mark will give him what he needs.

Am running 48 grains 2209 at present. I also had a nice sweet spot at 43.5 and managed quite a few 25mm groups at 200.

if its a tikka try lapua brass fed 210 45g 09 behind 140 amax and you wont be able to shoot as good as your rifle
And thats a promise not a threat
it will be running about 2700 with no pressure problems
