I run the be 162gr Amax at 2640fps in my 7/08.
10 to 500+ yards - never had an issue about performance.

Cheers for all the feedback. If they shoot i’ll give em a whirl for sure.
Thanks
I have been using these since they first came on the market. I use them at 2720 out of my 7mm08. They seem pretty good to me. I have taken red deer from 50 out to 600 yards. I have shot some decent sized boars up close and never had one blow up on the shoulder. I have never had one not make it into the chest cavity. It's pretty rare for them to exit though. I really rate them at that speed. Also very accurate.
Oops see that thread was pretty old. Popped up in a search
Im running the 162gr Eldm through my 7-08 at 2675fps and had no issues. Taken two Tahr at over 600yds and both dropped dead. Taken deer at closer ranges no problem.
Of late I’ve been shooting the 6.5x284 but taking the 7-08 on this years Tahr mission basically due to how well it performed last time out.
Pretty keen to try these next in the 18 inch barreled 284 to see how they go.
Yeah the go good at 2630fps MV for me. Read somewhere that the perform best at an impact velocity of 2700fps down to about 1800fps
At Magnum speeds I found the M to be reliable and the X not so good.
This experience is only in 7mm 162
Realise this is an old thread of mine that’s been re opened. I ended up running them at 2600fps from my 284 and they were deadly. Nothing walked away from being hit by them at 20 - 500m.
I too shoot the 162gr eld-m's in my 708, 18" long barrel with gunworks spartan suppressor, Average mv 2640fps.
These projectiles at this speed is perfect for all big game from close to long range. Ive had devastating kills with them so far.
I use to shoot the 162gr amax's with good results too but the m's seem to be better in my experience so far.
