    7mm Blaser Magnum questions

Curious how popular the 7 Blaser is in NZ. I’m an American and I’ve been shooting a 7mm Rem Mag with 180 Bergers. My current barrel needs to be replaced soon. I’m intrigued by the design of the 7 Blaser and it looks like I should be able to push a 180 Berger at around 2950fps. Cartridge appears to be more efficient than the 7 Mag and of course there’s no belt. Not many people are using the Blaser here in the states, hence I figured I’d peek over the pond.

Thanks in advance and cheers to all 👍🏻

If I had to settle on one caliber and one rifle this would probably be it in a light weight and my preference would be a fast twist 22” barrel. I think an nx8 on top would be nice too. Sigh. But then I quite like my 7mmsaum, 300saum, 270wsm, 6.5x55, 7-08, .223, and .17hrm too.

    Have u tried the NX8?

I want to hear from someone who has, not much info out there on them.

Potential buyer but want a decent review first

I don’t own an NX8 but I’ve been behind one on the Range. The turrets and mechanical are solid - typical
of NF. The glass isn’t ATACAR quality - I’d put it in the neighborhood of an NXS or SHV. The 2.5x low end is hard to use in lowlight unless you illuminate the reticle.

Yea hes already been in contact, I will be getting it from him when the time comes.
There's just no independent information out there on them yet which is frustrating.
