    7mm bush pig load

I've ended up with 3 model 7's no problem with that, anyway I have a projectile in mind for the .260 and 7mm Saum but would like to have a heavier projectile for the short barreled (17 inch) 7/08. It will need to to be mag length for the model 7 and point and shoot to 200 metres. What are you fullas using for that scenario? Sort of thinking 150 grain or bigger in a corelock or roundnose type projectile.

P.s coming up for sale soon 308, 25/06 and 257 Weatherby.

150Gr Nosler Partion is a good hard hitting projectile, 150Gr Ballistic Tip or Sierra gameking better BC but softer with less penetration.
Sightin 1.5in high at 100 and you will be around 1.5in low at 200 and 1/2in high at 50, depending on muzzle velocity

+1 hard to go past Nosler partitions especially up close. Hornady 154 Interlock be another for bush hunting, or coreloks. Both very average BCs so don’t expect to push them too far. 150 Nosler BTs or 120 BTs. The 120 BTs are more stout and tough than the 150s so would be better out of short barrel in bush

    139 hornady GMX.

    So impressed with monolithics!

Awesome weight retention, accuracy and good speed.

    Couple of days ago.

    20" barrel. 7-08. 120 grain NBT. 3000fps. Bang flop.

This one 285yds but work up close.

Hit it so hard it landed in the chiller.

    p.s. I might take the 257wb.

So much for the theory they don't work when going slow. 275m away they wouldn't be lazer beams out of a 7x57?
mmm the for sales sound interesting-never mind all money gone anyway

150 corelokts - deadliest mushroom in the forest. They crawl out my 14" barrel and everything I point it at dies. With a CDS turret it's easy to shoot anything inside 275yds where it starts running out of energy

Going pretty slow! I was impressed as I thought they would have penciled but it expanded just like the marketing pictures.

Will be trying them next roar.

I would try the 154gr interlocks. Cheap and really good killers from what I have heard. Mates tikka likes those nosler BTs but they are about $1 per pill vs 60-66c for the interlocks

Are the GMX easy to tune for accuracy? I’ve found the barnes a bit hit & miss getting them to shoot well.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!
