My 9.3 is a 1925 Mauser, hasn’t had anything extra done to it and only has open sights. I’ve only done the one load.

From that and your previous posts it looks as though you are all good to go. We can over complicate things especially us far gone handloaders.

Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.

    I’m looking forward to sunday.
    The rifle just feels ‘right’
The front sight has been drifted off centre, looking forward to seeing what she can do
She’s going to stay with open sights, personally I feel it would be wrong to have a scope on her.
Anyway, very pleased to have her in the safe

Ive not bed or done any thing to my husky, other than fitting a peep sight and adjusting front blade hight,
Both my Sako 9.3x62 and Fair double in 9.3x74 are untouched,
Both of the 9.3x62 rifles will shoot every bullet, inside a $1 coin sized group at 100 m, with a scope, i can sum times get about that size with the peeps, but not everytime, 232,250,270,286 gr dont much matter, all shoot well,
A surprise thing i have discovered, with the medium bore rifles, x2 .258 win, x1 .35 whelen, x2 9.3x62, x1 9.3x57, and one .375, is all shoot very accurately often, all bullets touching at 100m, and are not fussy, about bullet or powder,
The .358 and 9.3x57 are real honeys, bring mild recoil, considerable power, out to reasonable ranges, in accurate light weight rifles.
Enjoy your 9.3x62, load it to a moderate lever of power, (it dosnt need to be chasing the last 50 fps,) it kill just fine at 2300 odd and plow threw a 6” tree, the deer your shooting at, and a foot, into the hill behind it.

    So, update on my Husky.
Refinished the woodwork, huge thanks to @garyp for lending me those checkering tools.
I wasn’t aiming for new, just a tidy up.
And @muzza that advice on cold blue worked well.

Thread dredge. Redid the woodwork, reassembled the rifle and gave her a test shot, or two, last sunday.
25 metre range, both shots within an inch of each other.
Happy with that BUT they printed 2 1/2” left of where they used to hit.
Reassemble and check everthings sitting right ( pretty sure they are ) or drift front site over ?
