Are they the same powders, and can one be substituted for the other?
Thanks

Yep, just watch for batch variability as you normally would
Ta Stu. I can't get my hands on any 2213sc at the moment, which is what I was really after.

Thanks for the 2x offers of 2213sc chaps. I bought some 2217 so I will try that. If it doesn't play nicely I will be back to you on the scrounge.
Cheers
So I tried out the ADI 2217 in the 270wsm today. 5 loads starting at 67.5 and increments up to 70.5. 140 grn Nosler BT.
The highest 2 shots in the 100 yard group are 70 & 70.5 gns. 70.5 grn velocity was 3135fps.
I was hoping for close to 3,200fps but am wondering if I should just call it a day at 70.5 grns or push on to the target velocity. There are no pressure signs and the ADI max 70grns. Federal brass.
I tried getting some 2217 on Thursday, but was told that none is available and not sure when it will be. Damnit!
Ya can't park there mate.
Next adi shipment into NZ is late april . Will be a wait and see to just what actually gets shipped tho.
Oh, cheers for that. I guess the 308 Norma will sit in the cupboard for the roar then.
I will try to source a different powder like 4831 and try it, or use a different gun.
Ya can't park there mate.
