168 A-max at 100m, hair on but you get the idea. Base of the neck.

The 6.5 140 amax are shit. They dont group dont kill and if any body wants to ditch their boxes of the said terrible projectiles i will dispose of them for ten dollars a box!

I do like the "idea" of a sirroco but I think ultimately I need to discipline myself not to use the amax so close and push out with the barnes, they work consistently well out to 350 but haven't tried em further yet as my "close load" I have never validated any data further out.

Yea that looks messy for a neck Mal.
I had some 100gr hollowpoints once that all but a bit of skin severed heads on goats at 20y. Was never game to try them on a deer

Yeah it had travelled into the back straps a bit but it was only a yearling, this is probably one of the worst cases i have had with the 168's.
The same day i shot a spiker at 352m and it was just as bad on exit but luckily not a shoulder shot so everything was fine meat wise.
I have to say i love them, they kill instantly and out of 20 or 30 deer i have had only 1 go more than 5m but she was easy to find with the blood she was losing.

No doubting they kill. The one in my first pics went around 40y downhill but im putting this down to touching the heart as well as the lungs.Generally they drop on the spot with a lung shot but they do that with the barnes as well(out to 300ish not tested further)

Shhhh! They are shit in 6.5, no one should buy them. I will dispose of them thoughtfully for any who have them, for free

I think I have a box of 140's that I can open and send some samplers.

I like the way bergers are working at the moment

7mm amaxs work good, but maybe need something abit harder for front brisket shots under 100 on big bulls i lost one this year or shoot neck
the surrococs seem to be the same as accubond

Thats the interesting bit Smiddy they seem to work great in 7mm but a bit to explody in .308"(168gr at least) Iv got some 178gr to try which with the higher SD and lower muzzle vel may work better as a "do all" round,Time will tell.
