    I'm sure @BRADS gets 2900 from his 20" standard .260 same powder and the 143grn ELD -X

Yeah I saw your 3 shot ES on the other post. It takes me another 0.5gr to equal what I used to achieve since I lengthened the throat. I could have probably gone another 0.5gr on the SF powder but it would have been hard on the cases and probably got another 40-45 fps but it would have been only an academic result.
My node with the 140-140gr seems to be around that 2940-2950 fps as both the Amax and ELD-X seem to have best accuracy and ES there.
Maybe @BRADS chrony is a bit like Dundee's rangefinder All fun intended

My sako 260 has a long as throat,
As we no all barrel and actions are different.
2950 from the finnlight is showing no pressure signs, and the deer aren't complaining.

Did you have the throat cut longer or is it factory?
That's impressive proformance from a standard round how long before it's a carbon light👍

I blooded the 260Imp a couple of days ago. The 143gr ELD-X sure are the bizzo, rapid expansion at 179m. Quarter on shot on a spiker took out 2 ribs on way in, a vertebrae and finished up with the boat-tail poking out a wee hole. No lead core to be found, could well have come out with the gutting. Not a lot of meat damage either despite the amount of hydraulic shock that would have occurred. This backs up what @BRADS has found with their field performance.

I've had my in blood a few times now too. Couple of reds and a buck Chamois. Really happy with howhat this has worked out.

140gn VLD's at a mediocre 2665fps. Shoots holes in holes.
