    AR2217 and light(ish) projectiles

    Hi friends,

Look at me posting two threads in one day. Unheard of.

I'm wondering if anyone has had success with light (140g or thereabouts) projectiles in front of AR2217?

I'm keen to develop a short-ish range load for the 7mm Rem Mag so was thinking about driving the Barnes TTSX or Federal TBT reasonably quickly but would like to keep things simple and stick to one powder type, if possible.

I'm currently running the 162g ELD-M in front of AR2217 for longer range with reasonable success.

As usual, any thoughts are much appreciated.

    Elliott

I stick to 2213 with the lighter projectiles in the 7mm mag, have always had good results with it.

When I had my 7mm mag I used 160 accubonds as my inside 300yds load, was about 1 grain less than my 162 a-max load and shot to pretty much the same point of impact.

I use 2217 with the 150 gr ELDX getting around 3000 fps and about one inch groups at 100 yds. My rifle didn't like 162's that much with the loads I tried.
