what does the maker of cfe223 have to say???? if you cant find barnes data...go to next weight HEAVIER with cup n core data and start low . the .308 uses 748 and 2206 which are both good .223 powders so there SHOULD be overlap with your powder.
75/15/10 black powder matters
That's quite often because the powder is such a poor choice for the bullet that the manufacturers aren't going to bother developing data. Can’t seem to find much/any load data?
I'm sure it would work. But you're probably going to want something a bit faster like BM2 or H335.

Just loading some 7mm-08 with CFE223 - hard to work with, much prefer the consistency of 2208
I see on the Barnes Site loads for Win748 (as per Mighty Duck's advice) and BL-C(2) which have similar burn rates to CFE223 - probably a reasonable place to start.
Thanks for it info guys, i generally use 2206h but was given a full tub of cfe223 so was gonna give it a crack.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

I've used 54 grains of cfe223 with the Barnes ttsx 110
I found cfe223 to be the berries when I
shot 308. That was 165gr though.
Cfe223 wasn’t the right choice for the 308 with the 135gn smk
Had major pressure issues even with the minimum book charge
We stuck with 2208 which worked nicely
