Could be worth it. Looks like my barrel likes a bearing length of .450ish or less. Hopefully being lighter they maybe short enough in the bearing length
Ok have tried 150 bt's , 150 lrab's and 150 Elle's . I dropped to 2217 instead of 2225 and did a ladder test with each bt's looked very good and the other two sprayed all over the place so I didn't bother following up on them. Berger stability says even the lrab's don't suit 9.5 twist. A very fussy barrel. On the bright side I revisited the 168 classic that they say only needs a 10 twist and chose what looked a good starting point from my previous ladder test and came back with a 1/2 group at 2940 and no barrel fouling from the soft Hornady s. Will tinker a bit but not worried if it doesn't get better. Are also playing with 225's in a 300 win and will report back on that. Still have the Hornady fouling but accuracy and speed are good to excellent from my first loads. Anyone else using Hornady eld' s in chrome molly barrels finding they foul?
