Thread: Bedding.....who bothers??

    I bedded my remmy into that stock i got of you which helped the accuracy heaps, have done the 770 and stiffened the stock which had great results and just done a mates 7mm rem mag and stiffened it also, it was spraying bullets but now with an unknown reload groups less than an inch.
    I think it helps accuracy and it gives me an excuse to play with the rifles in the man shed.

    There is another compound that you can buy that you simply mix up and pour it into the skeletal frame of the fore end.

    When I get home I have to resight my 6.5 in with my reloads so nows a good time to pull it apart and tinker with the stock. I want to give bedding ago but it will probably look like grunters also want to make it stiffer and maybe remove abit of the stock where the barrel gets close. If I do stuff it up im not too worried as I'm planning to get a boyds stock for it when I get a job. where do you get bedding stuff from?
