    Bertram brass

Have bought cartmans 7mm wsm so will be reloading for it. Have the option of buying either Winchester brass or bertram brass at a sharp price.
The brass looks mint to my eye but the reviews online would have you believe it's rubbish.
Any one have any real world experience with it in NZ? I tend to take the American forums with a grain of salt to be fair.
    Cheers

I ran Bertram 300wsm brass for a short while because it was all I could find.
It was very soft and didn't like pressure.

Winchester was very rough out of the bag new.
Very poorly formed necks and shoulders.
But after a size to straighten out it was ok.

Norma was great in every respect and that's what I used for years

    Hope that helps

Cheers for that. Bit limited in what's available for 7mm wsm so it looks like the Winchester brass is the winner.

I ran Bertram brass in 7mm Saum and I would agree with your comment that it was a little soft and loads others suggested using 2217 were a bit warm

    Shot well though.

Yup Bertram wont handle much pressure but it’s probably better than Winchester. I find loads of pinched necks and shoulders in Winchester brass

I also run Bertram brass in a saum (6.5) and have had no issues. Definitely still accurate and it’s a pretty warm load using 2217. They are currently on about their 8th firing and looking like I’ll get a few more yet.

I run bertram in my tikka 300wsm. I havent used any other brass to be able to compare it but it hasnt given me any trouble. May be softer than other options im not sure, but i still managed to achieve good results with my rifle and it shot well. My rifle is a 22" tikka and its running 178gr ELDM at 2960fps with 2209 shoots great & the brass is happy, most of the brass on its 6th loading now.
