    Best .300WM Brass

    Hey there team,

Am about to purchase 100x .300WM brass to go into the Tikka T3 lite shooting long range. I will be passing the brass over to be reloaded by another party as I have no equipment to reload, What I was wondering was a recommendation on which brass to purchase.

    Thanks in advance
You know, if you need 100 rounds to kill a deer, maybe hunting isn't your sport.

Norma. Expensive but you wont need a lot of case sorting etc.

The secret for longer life in magnum belted brass, is when it is brand new, never fired, to expend the neck to the next caliber up (8 mm for 30) and then neck size down back to original caliber till the bolt of your gun just close on your neck. Do your first fireforming with a normal load. And on the consecutive reloads just neck size your brass. Only full length size it when bolt become stiff but just enough so you just bump the shoulder back.
If you are not pushing the pressure to high, you should get 10 reloads out of your cases.

Norma - having used good and bad brass in various cals, good brass is worth every penny.

The " best" .300WM brass is probably RWS, very coveted by the LR shooters, expensive too. . Lapua did make 300WM until a few years ago. also good. Norma is not bad. I use a fair bit on Winchester, also pretty adequate for most general uses.

I got 7 firings on Federal before it went hard, FL size each load and no annealing.

As long as you sort your brass, cheap brass can work well.

I had heard that Lapua 300 win brass was made by Norma anyway.

Federal GMM if you can get it second hand or just buy 5 x boxes of ammo and keep the brass.

Pretty sure ChrisF was 'hoarding' some Lapua 300 win mag brass.

    Have I said too much?
