    the hornady SSTs work very very well on large wallabies...so should be great on goats/fallow
    we havent found a round that the bakail didnt like and it too will handle .308 dia reloads ok.
    the steel cased hornady would be a good place to start.
    so far Ive killed deer with it using
    150grn silvertip reloads
    125grn 30/30 sierra reloads
    125grn nosler ballistic tips
    150grn old school coreloct reloads

    all went down quick smartly

    interesting......

    Was there not any problems using a slightly smaller 308 cal bullet down a 311 barrel?

    this cartridge is "ethically" only a 150yard maximum range proposition on deer so any group under 3" is good enough. my teenage son was consistantly under 3" with a 4x scope
    the above deer were all shot at below 50 yards range...bush stalking range.
    so not in my opinion is that an issue.
