Brass Length - when once fired is still too short?

    Hi everyone.

I'm new to the reloading game and have a question regarding case length.
I have 80 Norma 7mm-08 cases to reload, all fired once from my rifle.

When I measured the cases they range from 2.017 - 2.027 inches in length.
The max length for 7mm-08 according to Hornady manual is 2.035 inches.

I'm a little worried that the variation in lengths will affect the uniformity of my rounds, there by affecting my group size.

So my question is: Do I trim all cases to the length of the shortest case for uniformity, or is the not an issue?

    Thanks for your help.

^^^ What he said. Just load'em up. Trim when they get to or beyond the max length, then to a uniform length.

Personally I'm not concerned with case length until they get too long.
At a guess I would imagine they won't grow enough to trim until about 5th or 6th firing

    Cheers guys.

I will reload these until they grow a bit.
It might take a while as I am only neck sizing until the cases get harder to chamber.

Had the same thing with my .270wsm. I just loaded them to same COAL. They were pretty much the same length after second firing.
Used to be a fine wine - now I'm vinegar.
