    Yep, my howas do this. 6.5 Grendel likes putting ejector stamps on everything - even factory ammo and mild reloads - despite primers looking absolutely fine. It leaves a nice shiny ring around the primer as you've pictured, maybe 1/4 of the way around. 223 and 308 bolt faces leave the rings at least 3/4 of the way around cases and collect brass (but don't leave any ejector stamps).

    Would be interesting to get a gunsmith's opinion.

    That’s after cleaning
    You have to look harder as it matches in with the polished case
    But its there

    I thought it disappeared during cleaning but Obviously not

    Just get a gun smith or engineer to skim the bolt face a couple of thou should not stuff up the head space,
    I have had two bolts bushed and refaced with no real change in headspace

    shooternz where did you get the bolts bushed? - was the work OK?

    A mate is a gunsmith in Auckland he does great work can't see that anything has been done to the bolt.
