    Bullet comparators who's using one?

And does it matter? Currently I'm using a homemade hornady OAL length gauge thing to get overall length.

Should I get a comparator, and what are people using? Just for dirty old hunting rifles, is my OCD getting the best if me or is it something really worth having?

Yep, always use one to set/check OAL, as the length to the tip of bullet varies considerably depending what bullets you are using.

What are you using? Hornady or something else?

Yeah have the hornady comparator, you can change the inserts to suit different dia projectiles, and i also use the inserts to measure head space as well, to set up the sizing die, to make sure that i am only just bumping the shoulder and no more. Compare fired case to sized case, and get it just right so you are not over working the brass.

    Great piece of kit
