In your case blue maybe better than red because your press would be like brand new from lack of use.

    Greetings All,
My initial case lube was linseed oil. This worked fine with the .303 but when I bought a .308 and cases started sticking in the die. A friend's experience was similar. He used motor oil with .25 - 06 and 8 mm x 57 but when he got a .308 Norma mag cases started sticking in the die. It seems that just about anything works on the more tapered cases but start failing on the less tapered ones. Currently I am using Hornady One Shot case sizing wax just smeared on with my fingers and cleaned of with a paper towel. It is better than anything I have previously tried. I changed to this a few years ago, you use bugger all and my current tin may just see me out. No need for alternatives.
    Regards Grandpamac.

I use lanolin (oil like consistency). Simply hold a small cloth over mouth of container, shake container to deposit lanolin on cloth then rub deposit, thus spreading thinly through the weave. It stays on the cloth, so a wipe of case is all that’s needed. The very small container volume will see me out.

My mate whom I reload his Vixen says a coastal hostess from the Whakatane wharf is the best because they are always lubed.
wouldn,t it be easier to just raid the miss KY jelly stash and provably less fragrant smelly ammo deer would smell coming miles away

I keep meaning to make my own case lube but never seem to get around to it.

    Has anyone tried this:

For spray on lube depending on number of cases but typically I'll just put the cases in a plastic bag, 1-3 squirts of Dillon case lube depending on number of cases then shake the bag and I'm good to go.

That’s what I’ve been using the last couple of years. Same active ingredient as some branded lubes but a lot cheaper. Couple of hundred cases in a bucket very brief squirt and shake them around a bit. Better than sizing wax and graphite or mica on the necks IMHO. I always tumble my cases after resizing and did anyway regardless of what lube I used. I’ve probably done 1000 magnum cases and the can still feels full. Emphasis on a brief squirt being all that’s needed.

Bloody rats ate a hole in my case lube bottle a few weeks back ....... wanted to do some reloading the other day. Remembered I had bought some Anahydrous Lanolin ( EP) from Pure nature a couple of months ago to make some leather preservative. Found the Lanolin container which had about 3 teaspoons full left in the bottom.
A very very small pinch rubbed and warmed up between thumb and finger was enough to lube 10 cases at a time........found also that every 5th case didnt need lube as the residue on the loading die was sufficient for 2 cases. After resizing each case I simply pushed the mouth of each case onto a rag on my knee and twirled it to remove any residue.

Cleaned out my reloading area this morning and found a tube of RCBS case lube I had forgotten about............Typical, cant find anything when I need it, and when I find it, I dont need it...........

+1 for the crc lanolin spray, it works well. I also use the crc lanolin grease on a lube pad or with fingers

I think the Dillon case lube I've got is lanolin and iso mixed so you can spray it
