Have had pretty poor experiences with concentricity guages/correctors (due to the points made in this review)- this one might actually be worthwhile??

Nothing wrong with one that you rotate with your fingers.

Yeah I like nice stuff but how do you have problems with a simple run out gauge? sausage fingers?

-"V-block" 's a good idea, then rolling the case is less likely to throw the position.
A question:
-I've always assumed we are trying to get concentricity between the case & projectile. But this assumes the bore is cut parallel (concentric) with the chamber??
-Is there any way to check that the bore and chamber are in fact alligned properly?
Check your fired case

And then cry if it's not what you expected? Better to never know
True. But I cant work out how one would have problems with a simple one.
I dont own Blasers coz they are nice. If you seen the state of my rifle it would be obvious.
I own them because they best suit my needs and are extremely practical.
Ok, my F3 is pretty and could be replaced with a cheaper gun, but its the only thing I own thats pretty and does not need to be.

Yes they can be out of line.
Very rare on a custom rifle, if you did come across one, the bugger that did it would be a lazy prick.
If you get no case runout on a fired case its a pretty good indication.
There are other ways to test but take a while to explain.
