yeah, that's the one they don't have..I think your best bet is just to sell the scope. I'll take it off your hands
on a serious note, this could be your answer - https://www.strelokpro.online/Strelo...iy_reticle.htm

also if the subtensions are the same as the 3-12x, you might just be able to select that reticle and change the magnification range.

from what I can find online (scopeuout website), it looks like the BDC subtensions are the same for the Vixen V1 bdc 2-8x, 3-12x and 4-16x, all with ranging mag at 8x. So can can just pick the 3-12x and change the min/max magnification to use it for the 2-8x in Strelok. Glad you ask the question though, as I wasn't aware of the DIY reticle option until now!
I do, but I keep it simple. A wee printed sticker on the bell to remind me , and then I know for subsonic load in my 222 which hash mark/magnification to use up to 75m, then another for 100m.
Also have 22lr sighted in at 60m for subs and same deal for drops at 75m and 100m (when I usually have time to check what magnification scope is set at). But I didn't calculate the drops, I set them up at the range shooting groups at different ranges.
I then have entered the 222 info into Strelok, but had to fettle with the velocity/projectile BC to get it to match what I shot at the range, just so I have to info to hand on my phone if I loose the little sticker on the scope.
I think you need to discipline yourself to always use your reticle holderovers on max power ( or another usable fixed power eg 10x that some 2FP mil dot reticles are calibrated for).
On the other hand if you dial, discipline yourself to “dial down after the shot” - every shot …
Training is required to be successful with any approach
I find I shoot a lot of animals on 4-8x magnification even with a 24x mag top end scope - to allow good observation of the target animal and other animals through the recoil and afterwards. Having the ability to use reticle holds for drop, wind, or corrections with no thought required works really well for me
