    Are you saying you use 1000psi to form them?

    I need to look into the process more I'm still failing to see why the need for ultra high grade steel.

    Where did you get Ultra high grade from?
    Hardness, clearance etc is the key, steel quality is going to be something that goes hand in hand
    Obviously if it easy job we'd have dozens of guys making commercial dies and you wouldnt have to wait a couple years for them.

    I mentioned before - 100k bullets from the dies - was a mistake - its 500,000 life from the set

    And that's why the higher steel grade

    I assume they use tool steel of some description, which can be pretty high grade stuff, don't want to do all that work to find an imperfection at the end of it.

    Spanners make sure you allow for redundancy if wacking out 1/2 mill you better order replacement parts now!

    On a single stage auto/hydraulic press, I doubt I'll ever wear them out
