But I am always seeing ejecter marks and some times the bolt can be a little sticky but not all of the time.New Lapua brass, first loading. For some reason there is noticable marks ( shaving's ) from around the rim of the case also and minute specks of brass left on the bolt face.
The rounds are very accurate.I just cant work out what's causing these things.
    Any ideas?
    Anyone.
How fast are they going? Faster than expected in your barrel length?

That could be pretty quick for a standard .260 out of an 18" barrel, depending on what projectiles.

That sounds a reasonable speed. I dont think it is excessive headspace as generally, accuracy goes out the window if you have it. Can you rechamber a fired case with those symptoms easily?

I'm at last onto the minute shavings from the rim thing, the extractor under a magnifying glass appears to have a very fine sharp bit, enough to scrape the rim.
I also checked out the last few rounds fired and only one out of twelve showed slight ejector mark.Maybe nothing too big to worry about at all.
