"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
At least by the time I run out of A-max these will be more available and dropped in price. Finger crossed at least
Mine are coming Monday. Give workshopinnovation an email. The m's($76.95 box100) and x's ($81.95). want to try both eventually but I'm keen to try the heavier x's which are 143gn. Might find there's no benefit in performance over the 140 eld-m's. Who knows?

For the disbelievers and conspiractists this is a hole new bullet .055 longer that old A-Max, loaded in a 6.5GAP and 6.5x284 loaded to suit T3 magnum mag.
The mother load has landed!

That is impressive!
Just wondering, if say you're as far fwd to the lands possible but then they make the bullet longer and heavier; this puts the arse back into the powder. You have to put in less... Does this mean the ELD-M would be moving faster at 1km than the X despite the slightly lower bc???
Dammit...well maybe this is a good thing. I used quickload to factor in the two alternatives and also account for the loss of .5 grains of powder for the ELDX plus the extra weight and better bc. Then ran it through applied ballistics
All that for nothing. The effects cancel each other out perfectly, landing the ELDX a bigger punch and longer range (the only con is that the M might have better consistency but you could fix that with sorting). This crap put to rest - I'm off shooting
I have 300+ Amax on the shelf will use them for practice in my 6.5x68 then look at the E-LD when i put on a new tube
Would love to hear 1st hand whether these hold together better in game than the normal amax's at close range.
Was out with a mate on Saturday, and had a 6.5mm 140 grain Amax grenade in a Fallow deer shoulder, requiring a 2nd shot. launched at 2750fps 197m shot. Yeah, I know... shot placement.
been of to do some load development and job done!
the old saying if not broken don't fix it!
