I used 63gr sierra, 62 gr barnes and 70gr speer in mine.
I found with a 1-8 barrel that i would have issues with pressure spikes if i pushed velocities to much.
I mainly used AR2206 and then AR2206H, BM2 would be an interesting powder to use.

If it flies, floats or f#cks, your better off to rent it
I finally got around to doing some loads for the 222R
Hornady 55 SP
BM2 22.0 grains
Bertram 222R brass
I just picked a mid range load because I don't want to squander components
And it's a sub 6 pound Contender carbine so not really a 1/4 moa platform.
But all 4 groups were sub 3/4 moa at 100m
I will test terminal performance now on animals.
If the 55 SPs work ok I will buy some more and do a little more load work.
But don't really expect the load could be improved much more.
Scope could definitely be upgraded
Shooter could do with a bit of rust knocked off

I have a 222 Tikka with a 1-8 barrel. I regularly ( well, in the summer) use 55g for bunnies ( 19.8g N120) and for heavier bullets, 69g etc switch to IMR8208. Use loads from Hodgdons data - I cant remember off hand. With a can, Its a lot quieter than the 223, so more useful around farms and neighbours.
