And that they are usually 100 odd for a box. A tips aren't even that expensive and they are consecutively packaged on the run.

That's even getting above the cost of lathe machined brass projectiles from cutting edge etc.

When I stopped shooting my soopadoopa tacticool 6.5mm 143gr E-L-D-X, and instead used my retarded .308 Win and cheap Speers, my deer numbers went through the roof. So work that out.

Say E-L-D-X like a US Marine squad on a training run. Out loud. With people around. Go on, I dare you.

    E-L-D-X

Sorry, it's been a long day. The world's gone nuts.

I'd be measuring my new E-L-D-X by the way, because the last batch of ELD-Ms I got were way out of spec (ogive) compared to the previous ones.

Wouldn't want to be buying a Covid Tesla that's for sure.

I worry that other retailers look at this and get ideas.

Is a Creedmoor really 3x as good as the next best thing provided you can feed it semi fancy red tipped bullets (let's be honest, they aren't bergers)?
Shhhh don't tell anybody. I like having affordable components for the poo70.

The pertinent question then is, are bullets 'ammunition'? I'd say yes, but I wonder if Police might say that only assembled bullets/cases/powder/primer is "ammunition".
Yes you can import projectiles without a NZ import permit.
I've imported over 18,000 projectiles (1,800 boxes) over the last 5 years.

Originally I needed an export permit from the US - which wasn't hard to get.
Now for small quantities (less than 4 orders per year I think) you don't need a US export permit.

Of course there aren't many projectiles to buy in the US at the moment.

It isn't illegal to own projectiles, cases, powder or primers without a FAL.
Only when you add primer, powder and projectile to a case do you need a FAL.

Yes, if stores had them in stock , which they haven't for about 18months.
Or at least very very very limited stock.

Very limited stocks of projectiles in stores in the US.
I cleaned out my US supplier of the projectiles I shoot.
(Wasn't that many left even before I shopped.)

It's been happening in the states for a while in areas. It was only a matter of time before it happens here. I've stocked up pretty good but could definitely use some more powder and projectiles.
