Federal brass in most calibers I use has been fine, I do find that inside case capacity is slightly less than say Norma or Winchester but this isn't a problem for me. Most bras I use is working fine and has done for many years.
i was buying as complete ammo it was cheap so you got fire formed brass once you've used it only see the odd packet around now but i think its ppu brass which i use in 22 hornet 222 243 6,5x55 and 308 i use ppu in my 303s about the only brass ive had problems with is s&b went though a stage of bending and breaking decapping pins the hornet brass had off center flash holes and the x55 brass the flash holes were to small...prob a couple of bad batches tho i use fed brass in my 223 but throw it away after a couple of firings as the primer pockets are to loose plus they stick in the chamber and need to use a cleaning rod to get them out....hence it doesnt get used much

Unless I’m mistaken ppu brass is used for Highland cartridges
Have used federal in 308 and 243 and found it fine.
It is a lot softer in the head than say lapua brass but unless wanting to run max loads it is fine.
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
