    Frontier 223 Brass

I just got 100 rounds of Hornady "Frontier" 55 gn ammo with a new to me rifle.

Is the "Frontier" brass worth picking up to reload, or will I get some Lapua once its all shot off ?

I’ve used Hornady brass in my .223 with no problems, accurate loads but I tend to use Remington brass as I simply have more of it!

Its a bit peculiar that its not got a Hornady headstamp . . . I wonder if its sourced from "old mate" in PRC or the like

I've found that the .223 is not fussy with brass, my best ever 5 shot group with my Jongmans had 5 different brass (65 Sierra and bm2) maybe I was just lucky.

Frontier is lake city brass aka federal. Good brass.

Just check the primers are not stakes or stamp crimped.

If they are you need to used the debur tool to remove it prior to priming.

Mine is stamp crimped but it
Is also 5.56 62gr so not .223 Rem so that might be the difference.

Thanks for that - interesting arrangement with Hornady sub contracting someone to load its bullets in "Federal" brass to be sold under a separate brand but "linked" to Hornady
