After recent advice I'm starting again with my 22-250 load, can anyone advise on the use of H414/2209? Or suggest another powder? Using anything from 60g-75g projectiles.
Not looking for data as I'll work up my own load.

No advise but are you assuming H414 is exactly the same as ADI2209 ie 2 names for exactly the same powder?
@charliehorse. AR2209 IS NOT the same as H414. W760 is though.

Only taking that from the adi powder equivalent chart. So if not the same powder in a different packaging then very similar?
Simikar burn rate but very different internal ballistcs. You can safely associate H414- W760 but Ar2209 would require a seperate unique work-up.

Just brought the last H414 from WSI so will start reading up on some starting points.
Best start by using this Take Aim at Rifle Reloading Data | Hodgdon Reloading
Select some loads using W760 and H414 and you will see the same data.
Then have a look at H4350 (ADI2209 renamed and repackaged by Hodgdon).

Also you will see from the can that ADI 2209 is a stick powder (extruded) and H 414 / W760 is a ball powder ( spherical)
What about ADI AR2213C it can do the 70grain pills

I used 4895 with 60 and 63gn projectiles, then changed to 2206H when 4895 became hard to get. 34.5-35.5gns of 2206 has given me real tidy groups and lots of dead beasties for the past 20 odd years.
35-40 grains of WW760 behind a 60 grain pill in the .22/250 is data from Nick Harvey book. I used about 38 grains behind a 55 gn pill as a easy shooting load in my rifle.
Had a bit of a play with the H414 this arvo using some virgin norma brass. Might look into E, F & G tomorrow if I get time. G was the only group using Winny primers. All the rest Federal
I see your using 75 gn pills and not 60/62s ?
Hopefully you have a fast twist bbl 1:9 or better?
Unless you have decided 3000 fps is about what you after, I’d be inclined to go up in 0.5 gn increments first and then start fine tuning?
Yep 1:9 twist. If I have no joy I'll push on for some more speed. Not to fussed, happy to preserve everything with a round that's not racing and hopefully very accurate on the small critters.
