Thread: Hornady 6.5mm ELD-M 140gr all sold out!!

Hi guys,

Looks like the popularity of the 6.5mm Creedmoor has caught the suppliers by surprise! There seems to be a shortage of these nice projectiles.

Does anyone know where some are in stock?

Can we purchase brass and projectiles from overseas without fuss or is it a big paperwork job?

Easy as, no import permit required.
Contact Mike at ReloadingInternational.com, he is great to deal with. But looking at his website, Midway & Brownells it appears they're on back order in the US as well.

Not much point. As per the original post they are on back order. Looked myself. Or you could maybe contact Mike or Addison @ RIL at any rate for estimate of when they will be available. Even if you dont intent getting stuff from them it might give you an idea of the marketplace position keeping in mind NZ will be at the very bottom of the supply chain.
Hornady's spin doctor marketers have done a good job this time hence the shortage. Or one of the reasons.

Just bought some ELD-M 130gr to play with in the mean time. loaded 50 and about half are not concentric. Bloody Lee seating dies! Just bought a FORSTER ULTRA MICROMETER SEATER DIE 6.5 CREEDMOOR MFG on Ebay. That Lee is going in the bin. Hope it hasn't screwed 50 new Lapua cases
