Interesting to see how they perform on game, I'm picking no real difference.

I’m assuming you’re in Michigan… this is probably a longshot but is there any way that you can demonstrate the expansion on these new Hornady bullets? Maybe shoot some milk jugs full of water? I would be really keen to see how these bullets do a longer range. Say 400 to 500 yards.

It’s just the GMX with the “heat shield tip” or a higher temp resistance polymer.

This was a .264 120gr GMX base of the neck 280m

No, I wouldn’t agree with that.

From the testing done by fellas in the US, the GMX and CX are performing very differently. The CX looks like it is considerably softer than the GMX and will break up almost like a segmented copper bullet if impact velocity is high. The lower velocity expansion is remarkable.

From what I’ve seen so far I would say that the copper alloy metallurgy of the CX is completely different to the GMX.

The view on the GMX has historically been that it is too hard and double lung shots can frequently have bad outcomes. I don’t think we will be hearing that about the CX so much…

Whilst I hear what the guys are saying about potentially driving this bullet too fast, the problem is a good one to have because here we seem to have a copper monolithic bullet that does not need to be driven at warp speed to deliver clean killing.
