yes...thats why I was advised by a wise fella from Tokoroa to use std primers in subsonic loads......and I listened and did.....6 grns of trail boss is cool...3 .5---4 is getting silly small amount.....

Thats interesting. I've been trying to achieve subsonic loads using winlr primers and HXP brass. I loaded some rounds in unfired HXP brass using the original factory primers (yes GC HXP brass) with same powder and noticed the groups while slightly better with the factory primers compared to winlr primers, which I assume are hotter. So the Question is, what modern off the shelf primers closely match the HXP factory primers?
