I’ve done it for quite a few on this forum…. Projectiles /casings are fine (to a point).. which several have pointed out on this thread…… the biggest issue I’ve run across is “Description” of contents…… be vague ,but not too descriptive…. that it cause eyebrows to be raised…… customs will check it anyway……

There are zero issues with importing projectiles into NZ as a private purchase. No permits are required. I buy boxes projectiles with every order I make from Brownells. The only limitations are the brands that only export their products via licensed distributors. These companies won’t allow you to buy direct from their US retailers. Hornady must be one of these, as they are listed as not for export on the websites of US retailers.
