Jump advise for 85gr Sierra HPBT

    Hi Guys

Any advise regards seating from lands with this projectile

Currently load Barnes 80 Gr TTSX 50 thou from lands as recommended, wanting a cheaper projectile so I can practice a bit more with open sights in the 243

Will be using on fallow at ranges under 75 meters in the bush, maybe on chamois out to 300, will have to put the scope back on for that!

    Cheers

The Sierra manual recommends 2.650", usually a good place to start.

Same. My son shot 10 stags with this pill in recent months. All did not move. Best 380m in neck on dark off a bipod. It was sitting down and then just folded on the deck. Funny you should mention the 80gr Barnes because just in the throes of ordering some from Mr Hannon. Look at Graeme Surgeon's book. He used this pill for his meat recovery. What is not widely known is Jim Warren used the same calibre i.e. 243 and same pill.We are using 48r 2213SC.
