I have found my rem sps likes flat based using 2209. The 95 hdy sst go well and the sierra 85sp as well, the sierra sp is to explosive on goats or anything bigger. The hdy 87 hollow point boat tail are no where near as accurate. Trying to find an 87 grain flat based to use on deer. May have a look at the hdy 87 sp?

The V-max is pretty explosive up close.

I think the 87 vmax are a varmint round, the Hdy 87 hollowpoint boattail and sierra 85 hpbt gameking are more for deer. These two rounds are both boattail and my rem prefers flatbased bullets. Hence why I want to try the Hdy 87 softpoint flatbased on deer.

Anyway : the ADI site has the load data for their powders HERE
the OCW site has some load recipes for 243 HERE

I've just about given up trying to get anything bigger than 95gn to shoot accurately out of my 243. 1:10 twist is just too slow

Targex 80's are shittingly accurate and once I get them tuned targex 95's will be awesome too.

Targex make a 105 grn that will stabilize in a 1/10 twist. My barrel is only 20" so I use the Targex 95 grn @ 3k with N550. Remember though that while these bullets really perform, they are quite fragile. They work best with lung shots. They will very seldom pass through. If you use them at long range (350-450 yds), there will be minimal blood trail.

I also use Speer 80 grn @ 3.2K and they are pretty good. You will get better penetration than with the Targex and they often pass through which I like.

At the moment I'm giving Nosler BT 95 grn a try. They are meant to penetrate very well.

Nothing though beats the Targex for BC and longer range in my experience.

if you have a 20"-22"barrel 2208 would be fine

Thats the one I've got that I've just about given up on.

It's ok , but not as tack driver as the 80's are or the 95's will be. Maybe I just need to perservere ....

For now I've got the 95's to finish tuning , and then maybe I'll get time to have another go with the 105s.

What powder you using under them ? I'm using a compressed Ar2213sc

Had one for years don't know why I sold it, used sierra 85 hps and hornady 87 hps with 2209 deadly on all animals and accurate as.
    Stay off the ridgeline.
The only good assumption is to assume that movement, shape, colour, sound, is always human. Follow this rule and identify your target.
