I used a lot of 85 sierra HPBT shooting over long distances in the tussock during the culling, meat hunting era. I loved them but the deer didn't.
Very accurate and hard hitting projectile.

The Norma 205 powder we used is no longer available mores the pity.

Yeah, seems to be the same bullet. I will have a look at the serial # on the box. I got my last ones from Mainly Hunting about 6 months ago, but they have closed down.

I've tried the Targex 95 VLD's in my Tikka 243 (1:10) - which are the same design as the berger and they're -ok- not as tackdriver accurate as the Targex 80 VLD's but I've still got some tuning to do. I would expect them to be as accurate as the 80's in time.

I just need to spend some quality time on the Load Dev rather than rushing it ...

On the lands as recommended, mine was a 595 tho which I think has a longer mag than the t3?
using 2208 which in theory is a bit fast for 95gr but accuracy was exceptional, I ran at max as accuracy was still under half moa and I would rather have the energy than 1/4 moa accuracy in a hunting rifle.

I don't have access to a chrony, but what sort of speed would I expect to get from my 243 running a 20.5 inch barrel, Load is 44.2grains ADI 2209, 90grain speer Hot- Cor, CCI primers. It has around 3.5- 4inch drop from 100 to 200m
