Loads for Barnes pills 7mm and 308

Got some 120gn TTSX 7mm ( for 7mm08 & 284) and 130gn TSx for 30cal. I think i read somewhere that you hit pressure earlier with Barnes pills? I run 120 NBTs in my 7mm08 w 2208. Was thinking to start 1 or 2 gns lower and work up. Any advice appreciated.

Na that was the old ones without the driving bands machined into them to reduce fouling and pressure.
If yours have grooves cut in them like multiple crimp sections it's the opposite and they will take more powder.
If not you have the old ones...they work fine but start at Min and work up.

    A good dose of h335 or 2206h for 130s and 308.

Try CFE with the 120s in the 7-08 if you want decent vels.

My load for 130ttsx with 2208 and an magnum primer was as much as I could get in there using a drop tube.
2206h and h335 are more suited but I had lots of 2208 and it shot well with fair velocity.

Use Barnes's own load data, it's very accurate from my experience. Like most American companies they actually shoot the data they publish.
