I have a lite, and love it. Seems to work fine. I don't get the overthrows some people have reported. There are more accurate scales out there, there are also more expensive scales. No experience with the lyman so can't comment there. Apparently RCBS are developing a new version of the chargemaster, don't know when it might be released, let alone get to NZ.

I bought the lite when I got my kit. Haven't used it a lot, but really like it so far. Very simple to use.

+1 for Chargemaster no experience with gen6
mine consistently charges to 1 kernel of RL26 under. A very occasional overthrow of 2-3 kernels maybe 1 in 30 throws with extruded powder
Zero over throws with ball powders
As long as it's been warmed up (I leave mine on) I've had nil scale zero drift.

One vote for Gen 6 as long as you don't use it around fluoro lights or near power sources like drill batteries.(Won't settle down and zero properly in my experience).

Just to throw another option out there. Iv got the Hornady auto powder thing. I like it. I heard mixed reviews on it before I picked it up, but my real world experiences are all positive.
The settings need to be adjusted depending on the powder type you are using, but that's easy to do.
The more coarse the powder, the sooner you need to make it start trickling. Making it start to trickle about 1.4-2.0gr before target weight seems to work well for all powders iv tried. I load a lot of extruded type powders (ADI)

Ive had a Gen 6 for a while now, I do a fair bit of loading, im pretty happy with it. With some larger kernal powders it'll thro .1 under, so i just set it to .1 more than i want and its bang on most the time, the odd occasion it'll throw bang on what its set for (ie 45.1gr) so i just scoop a few kernals out with a tiny lee powder scoop to drop it back the .1gr.

Wish id got it when i first started, game changer man

Chargemaster Lite is a much better unit, biffed my Lyman gen 6 in the bin.

Lyman was ok to start with but then kept throwing wrong charges and I wasted a heap of time, powder, projectiles and thought my barrel must be rooted on rifle before I figured out what it was.
Sent back to NZ distributor through retailer(who was good). NZ distributer said nothing wrong with it, sent back and said as over 1 year didn't come under warranty anyway. I was happy to pay to get it fixed but couldn't as they just weren't interested and didn' t want to know about it

Unit still looked mint and was tempted to chuck on Tarde Me but thought be a shit thing to do after all frustration so reluctantly chucked expensive junk in the bin.

Chargemaster have had no issues at all and after being paranoid from issues I'm constantly checking but it has worked perfectly every time without missing a beat.
