Thread: N565 & R26 in 6.5PRC - anyone using it?

I had a spare action with a magnum bolt face and a couple boxes of 147's which I couldn't get up to what I wanted with a 6.5x47L, so the choice was pretty straightforward.

Should imagine my barrel and brass will go just as long - if not longer - than a hotrodded smaller case.

147 @ 2930 from my 26" PRC is only around 52,000 PSI.

A lot of folks are nipping at the heels of the larger cases with 260's and Creedmoors but they've got to be redlining them to do so.

Not sure, but its a warm load of RL25 - probably 0.5gn below hitting pressure (bolt lift and head stamp marks) Pretty sure i could push it harder, especially if I changed over to RL26.
