Very good article in NZ Guns using Trailboss for the 222 and similarly the 223.Very informative and helpful. You get a bit sick of the constant drivel in some of the mags.

    Stop reading mags.
You only get one usually very biased opinion.

I experimented with .223 rem subs but couldn't get them to shoot. Only tried 2 different 55gn projectiles though.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

Any word on these? Looks like hornady is dipping their toes in the pond as well. Sub x or some such. Be good to have a few less spendy options

I’m keen to try them in my blackout, would be nice to have a proper subsonic projectile that with will feed reliably for shooting goats, pigs, rabbits, possums cheaper than what’s out there at the moment. I will still use the Lehigh’s for deer.

This is how the yanks are getting on.

That doesnt look very promising for most of us if they are struggling to stabilize in a 1 in 7 twist

Hornady are making one in factory ammo for the blackout but last I read they weren't selling the projectiles.

Theyd be bloody mad not to. still factory could be ok as long as its cheaper than the 50 bucks for the whisper 208 amax subs.

looks like the noslers are a miss, to long and not stabilising. the 190 hornady should work a bit better in the 8 twists

The 151 cast one's one trade me are the tits and I won't be buying anything else. They are cheap very well made and are effective on red sized game also fun for popping bunnies.

My only issue with these is that they wont feed from the mag in my model 7 due to the blunt nose

    What rifle you using?
I can only single feed them on a empty magazine, I've only shot 1 red hind with them so far and a couple dozen goats but I hate having to single feed slow going on mobs.

Was using a single shot bergara . I had them loaded quite short I've got the coal somewhere . Why won't they feed? Other round nose bullets feed from mags?
