    Not auto indexing

Hi team - rookie reloader here. Got my hands on a three turret Lee auto indexing press and it doesn’t auto index. Am I in need of a new rod or hex cap ( what ever that’s called ) with a little help it turns ok but otherwise I just remove the rod and turn the turret myself.

Also have just removed and cleaned the plastic hex bit and didn’t seem to help. Even tried to re define the inner grooves to no avail

Does it try to move at all? Make sure the turret it’s lubed. And also is the plastic hex thing in the right way up? I will try get a picture tomorrow of how it assembles. Cause when I got mine it was in the wrong way and wouldn’t work.

@Blair yeah it does try to move and sometimes even goes and index’s a couple of times the just stops. My second photo shows how I’ve placed it into the base. Tried some lube and cleaned the hex cap.

Oh right. We thats is the correct way round. My only other option would be to make sure that flat head screw that’s houses the ratchet part is nice a firm. And the top turret part is lubed but not over lined that it sticks. I found silicon spray worked well.
