Thread: OAL Trouble

Luckily I don't measure anything so I don't have to worry about this.

I load to the bullet manufacturers length in their reloading manual or SAAMI spec LOA for hunting loads, for target rounds I have a Sinclair Nut solid chromed steel
does anyone check the bullets base to ogive measurement? I found the Sierra .30 cal 155 gr match kings varied a couple of thousands of an inch when I shot Full-bore
and measured everything.

I seat projectiles to length by setting dies using existing load...been caught out twice in thirty years with them being too long and thinking about it both those were done in whackamole so don't count lol.
