Sorry, meant primers themselves, I have a Lee Press that seems to be fine. Just need to put a bit more pressure on it...

    "Add 0.7% - 45.5. This is group C, load 3 of these."

For ADI 2208 using target 155gr projectiles, lapua brass and std max OAL I think this is the safe limit for 308w, still supersonic at 1000yds (30inch barrel) but only just. I suspect that at 46grains 2208 and Nosslers or HBCs is compressing btw, not happy going higher than 45.5 therefore myself.

For safety sake I think most ppls should be at a max of 44 grains of 2208 in a 308 ie hunting.

    regards

Given the shortage of primers, any you can get frankly.

I use Fed 210 in the Enfields and Fiochi (or some such spelling ) in my 308w loads. I'd use 210M if there were any but the few Ive seen have been double the price of the std 210s and not justified.

I develop my loads using OCW, and I test at 150m, which is far enough to show decent divergence patterns and accuracy nodes.

Its also not too far that shooting becomes a huge factor.

The ability to shoot out to 300-500 m is not a given so if it were me I'd be hesitant about using that distance for my test loads.

I have an OCW Test target for 150M which is marked up with the powder weights on it as they come off my OCW Load Dev Spreadsheet.

Good record keeping is one of the most important things.

    Nice website by the way

For 7mm08 this is going to slightly less though? 42 grains? 39 just seemed to be a little low?

    Thanks.

Yeah - I am using the On Target Software to record everything. Seriously considering his TDS software so I can combine everything onto one record.

ADI site says 41.3 grains for 2208 with 150gr projectile. What range is that?

Agree with PerazziSC3 completely, rifle/scope/shooter combo capable of shooting very very tight groups otherwise just a waste of time & ammo. The theory of OCW when applied to this category results in the points of impact strung out along lines that link the nodes. Circular distributions of shots that vary in diameter with differing loads may be a reality but OCW theory does not and is not intended to explain this type of variation (Long's OBT on the other hand does try to explain this). Despite seeing threads here every couple of months on OCW I would imagine that very few rifle/scope/shooter combinations fit the above category. For me attempting to extract useful information from OCW is a waste of time and ammo - over dozens of OCW tests there has never been any statistically meaningful linkage and I've given up fooling myself.
