Its rainy and cold so perfect to do some reloading. Working through my pile of 223 cases one has just separated in the die, its adi brass and on its 4th reload it separated 1.5 cm up from the base.
Any ideas on how to get the bugger out.

do you have a tap and die set have an experiment with a case find the right tap that doesn't cut into the die wind tap in and punch case and tap out together
What make of die?
Identify your target beyond all doubt
Take out the decapping assembly from the die. Fill up the case with cerrosafe. Push the case out (in a vice) with a rod through the decapping assembly hole with a steel rod. I got a case stuck in the chamber yesterday (head separation) and I did something like this and the case came out very easily.
An easy out tool can work or one of these.. most good gunsmiths will gave one

Thanhks for the advive guys. Lyman die, yes the decapping pin and expander are out Ill try a brass drift first but i like the tap idea if that dont work. Honestly Im not sure why I still reload 223, the marginal increase in accuracy is outweighed by the cost compared with bulk belmont
use a pick to rough up the inside of the remaining part of the case
epoxy putty from the bottom end, then tap out from top with a drift once it has set.
if that does not work, drill and tap the epoxy, screw in a long bolt or piece of allthread, and use a big washer and nut at the bottom to ease it out.
