@Flyblown
I'm running 25 06 cases
a question please
How do you get 110% of case capacity.

RL26 should work real well, RL33 probably run out of case capacity before pressure. My experience with 2213sc in 6.5 06AI is similarly disappointing
Going to locate some reloader 26
Is it very Temp sensitive ?
also looking at the loads above I may have not gone high enough
cant help wonder why Hornady was in the red at 49.4 of h4831 where as above is right up to 55gr before it is telling 'near maximum'
That is a big difference?
What am I missing?

110% is a quite compresed load.... strange that AR 2213 doesnt do the goods in 6.5/06 as it works rather well in the 6.8/06 AKA poohseventy....... SOME people have good results with superpreformance...others get rather weird spreads in velocity and grouping.
@Micky Duck
see my edited post above yours.
Maybe I just did go high enough but I'm a bit concerned about the difference between what i loaded and what QL is telling us.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
without going right back and seeing what youve done (or it may cloud what Im about to type) when I was trying to chase velocity in the poohseventy (before I say the light) it was interesting as heck to look at load data.....loads for hogdgon 4831 were usually up to 2 grns more than for AR 2213/2213sc its a push to fit a top load into a case.with 130 grn projectiles,you cant poke enough in to go over the top with 110s,its perfect for 150-170grn loads. MY rifle happily sits 2grns ABOVE book max...long throat and loose bore...
2208 on paper is better for lighter projectiles
now I dont own/use or have a use for a cronicgraph..... the sub 400 yard shooting I do means its not a big deal.
for nearly 20 years I used loads that were well below max as they shot well......I shot well with them as didnt get booted around,since fitting suppressors to all my rifles the powder levels have crept back up and the old tart still poked pills into 1" groups if I do my part...not bad considering Ive had her used and abused her for 30 years now.
reason the difference in powders is interesting is that they are the same powder!!!!
what does quickload say win760 will do???
Yes I am not one for overloading ether however I want more than 2500 out of a 6.5 with an 06 case
To be fair I do run the Finn 2 gns over max for ADI with the 120gr but they are low for the 6.5 x55.

I have never had much luck with the 6.5-06's I've had (2) but I do know of good ones, hence following this with interest . . . and since you asked @Micky Duck

What has been the issues with your ones Tentman
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
yes 2500fps is a tad on the slow side...
Tentman that is not so bad...not fantastic...but not so bad.
Neither would shoot - both based on Mauser 98 actions though . . . . the first one was found to have a shot out barrel. The second one was based round a brand new Kreiger barrel, took a long time to get (one of the last jobs done through Din Collings, I think one of the grandsons actually did the work) and bugger me it didn't shoot either. I tried quite a few things but in the end got sick of it. Some time later I put the barrel into a Ruger Precision rifle as a 6.5 Creedmore and it shot lights out, like 0.5 MOA easy.
I wouldn't take to much from either of these examples, as I mentioned other 6.5-06's I have known shot very well.
The reason to try different powders is you'll often find that the sweet spot with one is at a low velocity and if you change powder you'll find another sweet spot at a more attractive velocity. I never take too much notice of the max predicted fps for a powder.
But you knew that already M.D. - I've read your stuff!!
Made a few calls today, RL 26 seems a bit thin on the ground this far south , though the run is coming
H1000 etc seems easier to get
Wonder if a magnum primer would help much?
I have some 2225 to try this weekend it it's not a weather disaster.
