39.5gr 2206h, lapua brass and federal magnum primer. 2680fps out of an 18" bbl 708 with the 162eldx. Bit hot but sub MOA and heaps of boogey. Obviously you know to work up to anything

Do the eldx perform better on game at 7mm08 speeds than the eldm? I use 162 eldx in my rem mag and I'm going to do a load up for the 7mm08 for hunting and thought the eldx might be good?

Win 760 from Belmont is meant to have similar burn rate.

My understanding is W760/H414 are the same powder made at the same plant just branded different for each company and has similar burn rate to 2209.
Happy to be corrected if I have it wrong.

Unsure as I have never had any experiences with the eldx. I rate the eldms on game though. Ran them somewhere around 2800~

Tried some RL17 in the 7mm08 today with 150gr ELD-X. Max load gave an ave velocity of 2827 with ES of 11fps.... this is outta a 20" barrel. Load is warm as primers starting to flatten a little but still okay. Bolt lift extraction fine. Wasn't shooting for accuracy (weird position to use chrony) but that load yielded a nice MOA group...

Did anyone get around to trying H414/W760 with the 162Eldx?

The 2208 loads listed in this thread look like winners but most manuals are saying H414 will give the same mv as 2208 with less pressure.

    Old thread I know..

That would be interesting, I’m currently using 2208, they haven’t been shot over a chrony as of yet.

    I get 2430 with 40.0gr 2208 with a 160 out of a 16".

My local has plenty of RL16...

    Hmmm
