I would love to take a single shot break open .222 or .223 and rechamber it into .22hp savage..... so you have all the joy of the old rimmed round but with .224 barrel.
I believe a few 7.62x39mm singles have been reamed to 303 brit......could be lively but very practicle.

Could be a real attention grabber. At an appropriate moment you could pull a round out of your cartridge pouch and nonchalantly wave it around a bit. Given the right company someone is bound to ask "What the ... is that"? You could reply "Oh its a 5.6 x 52 R of course" and drop it into the chamber with a very satisfying thonk. Even the US name would likely have them baffled.
