No problem. W760 has a similar burning rate to 2209. Works well in .270 and getting it from Belmont would be the cheapest fodder for it. 53 grns will get you 3k with 130 grn projectiles. Its what I used for a mates .270 for years.

Thanks Bruce. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the 243. Hope to get similar velocity too!

That's all my mate used in his A bolt for years. Shot honest clever leaf groups with 130gr SST. He buys factory now though.

+1 on the W760, very cheap from Belmont in Wanganui. Load for my mate's 270 and it goes good with 130 grain hornady interlocks, yet to try any other projectiles in it.Name: IMG_20190401_132546.jpg

@Ryan_Songhurst just got some of the 150gr oryx.
any suggested loads for the 270win?

Around 57-58gr of 2213sc goes good in most rifles with 150s, think it's a bit hotter than ADI book max but ADI are a bunch of sissies with their load data. Work up to it in any case. 2209 will go ok also or Viht N560

    Reloading for 270 Win

    I use 55 gns of WW760 behind a 130 for just under 3100 fps.

58.5 of 2213SC behind a 150. Long throated, long magazine rifles like the R700s I use, allow for and need a bit higher loads for top speeds.

Superformance has been the best powder I have used in the 270 Win. I would only get around 2800 fps with the 150 gr Partition with 2213 SC so I tried Superformance as the burn rate is similar to 2213SC and used 57grs of Superformance with the 145 gr ELDX for over 3100fps. It was accurate as well, three shots into one enlarged hole at 100 yds. Others have tried that load but haven't had the same results but it works for me. Superformance is a temperature sensitive powder so be aware that summer temps could increase pressure. Load lower than my load and work up to fine what suits your rifle.
