You also mention not being able to see your splash due to long grass and if it was low you would see it on a track? I would try again with a decent backstop as it could be windage.
    Good luck.

yeah seeing hits would make it easy... still 1+ moa out for closer shots at 480 in the bank, I could spot at 680 in to dirt faces as well... and if I put the time in to work it out at the time would have got me on the gong..... But yes I think the grass around the far gong needs a spray

Should be easy and usually is... time will fix it but might just take a while to sort when I have one rifle sorted that is easy to carry

    To hot ATM as well

    Defiantly
BC is not a fixed flat line number, its a curve, hence why Sierra supply banded BC for velocity
The RUM speeds with the 168 are outside of what most would consider 'normal' range
However, you would need to be around 0.54 to get the drops you're talking about
    Presuming its 30 cal

Based on your data, I work it out on my software to be ~13 MOA @780yds ignoring wind

I have found the same thing with BC and have adjusted the BC at various speed bands in my ballistics app to match the actual drops tested from 300 to 1000 Yards.
I have found it pretty good since then

Actual drop at 480 yards was 4.7 MOA, 680 was 9.6 I think...notes are at home but the 480 I noted in the cell as well

the 480 had an allmost tail wind and I note on some programs that gives less drop... shooter it stayed the same

when I was running the 1:10 barrel and 208 amax's drop matched pretty well on my last 300RUM

I would swap NZ's too hot for Ozzies too hot anyday. No wonder Ozzies are miserable bastards seeing they have to put up with this heat all the time
